The 2008 Big Ball was held at the Al Bustan Rotana Hotel on June 1 st and was attended by the UAE's leading advertising agencies and production companies together with their friends and clients.
The evening was also graced by Lebanese Diva Nancy Ajram who flew specially from Beirut to show her support for the Big Ball and its commitment to raising funds for children's education.
The committee had set a target to raise US$ 250,000 and subject to final audit, the final sum to be donated will be just over that figure which now makes the Big Ball one of the most important fund raising events for UNICEF in this region.
The Ball was attended by 600 people who enjoyed a gala dinner, entertainment including a dynamic tango show, an auction conducted by Dave Crane, Jeff Price and a DJ to help dance the night away.
Next year's Big Ball in conjunction with UNICEF is already at planning and development stage. Details of venue, date, celebrity attendees and specific initiative beneficiaries, together with ticket information will be available on the Big Ball website.
